Rolling Hills Transit is excited to be hosting the 29th Annual Minnesota State Bus Roadeo, with co-host Winona ORC representing the newly added non-CDL class. We have a great event planned in a fantastic location! The 2016 MN Statewide Bus Roadeo Committee is busy planning this year's event. We are sure to have some great activities planned - be sure to check back often for updates.

The Roadeo provides an opportunity for drivers to be recognized for the jobs they do every day, while gaining new insights through challenging competition. Participants will have the opportunity to network with other drivers and managers from throughout the state and learn from their experiences. The competition will be from the best drivers in the state all vying for top honors.

Winona is a beautiful community nestled between the mighty Mississippi and the picturesque bluffs of Southeast Minnesota, soon to be one of your favorite destinations. From the bluff tops and the iconic landmark Sugar Loaf, to the lakes and parks within the city, the river and everything in between you?re sure to find fun and adventure for the entire family while exploring the area.

If you are into the arts and theater Winona is sure to please. We?ve got art museums and galleries including the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, home to a world?class collection of fine art that includes works of Picasso, Monet, and Van Gogh to name a few. Winona is home to many festivals from performing arts, film festivals, and music festivals including Steamboat DaysThe Great Dakota GatheringBoats and Bluegrass,Mid West Music Fest and the Great River Shakespeare Festival that showcase the arts with world-class style. Explore our culture and heritage through our many historical sites, abundant architecture as well as museums showcasing the areas rich history. A favorite among tourists and residents alike is the Stained Glass Walking Tour, from the Tiffany stained glass of Winona National Bank to the splendid works that grace downtown shops and cafes, see why Winona is considered the ?stained glass capital of the world". There?s something for everyone!

We love our outdoor recreation in Winona, whether you?re into stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, boating, walking, hiking, rock climbing, road and mountain cycling, skiing, ice skating or snowshoeing, there?s something for everyone, or maybe you?re into it all like me! Or if you prefer a more relaxing outing we?ve got an abundance of opportunity there as well, including birding, scenic overlooks, scenic road trips, river cruises, etc.
